No full stops for Shreyas

After appearing in two bank examinations and failing in both, actor Shreyas Talpade realised that destiny had other plans for him. Even though Bollywood was his first love, he started with theatre.
But, it was after his extraordinary performance in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Iqbal that Shreyas attained instant recognition and stardom.
The interesting story of his life, however, is that he decided to turn into a producer with a Marathi film.

The audio launch of Sanai Chaughade saw filmmaker Farah Khan reciting lines in Marathi, all for good friend Shreyas Talpade's debut venture in the vernacular language.
The Om Shanti Om director showed up at the glitzy audio launch of Sanai Chaughade at a suburban multiplex in Mumbai. Co-produced by Mukta Arts and Talpade's Affluence Movies, this flick hopes to give Marathi cinema a definite makeover.
Percept will release animated movie Dashavatar
Posted by Reema | 06 Jun 2008
Percept Picture Company (PPC) has tied up with Anushvi productions for Dashavatar a mythological tale about the divine incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The company believes that it is very essential for the present generation to understand mythology. Thus, giving it to them in an enjoyable animated package would be the best approach.
PPC MD Shailendra Singh says "Our country's mythology has such strong elements of story telling that it's unbelievable that most of us are still in the dark about it. It's imperative that this generation's children are educated about it as mythology is the integral part of our culture. We made Hanuman for this very reason and now comes Dashavatar."

Shreyas Talpade may have become popular for his role in Iqbal, but it’s his comedy act in movies like Dor, Apna Sapna Money Money and Om Shanti Om that got him more recognition.
Now the actor will be seen in another comic caper titled Paying Guest that will be produced by Subhash Ghai’s banner.

Mukta Arts upcoming project PAYING GUEST which was announced quite sometime back had its Mahurat Shot on 24th May at Whistling Woods International. And the first shot was directed by the director duo Abbas Mustan. Present at the Mahurat were Shreyas Talpade, Johny Lever and Chunky Pandey.
PAYING GUEST is a well crafted piece of sheer fun involving 4 young boys and 4 young girls. The film is fast paced, hilarious, boisterously entertaining and an outrageous mad comedy. The film stars Shreyas Talpade, Aashish Chaudhary, Javed Jaffrey, Vatsal Sheth, Celina Jaitly, Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen, Sayali Bhagat, Johny Lever, Chunky Pandey, Asrani & Paintal.
After showing his acting calibre in films like Iqbal and OSM, the Omy of OSM has donned another cap and this time it is that of a producer. Talpade has gone ahead and followed the footsteps of his friend and actor, Shahrukh Khan.
His first production will be a Marathi film titled kandepohe.com. The film is almost complete and will be released on June 6 across India. His future plans include producing some more Marathi films, and will later take on production of Hindi movies as well.
I have already found the woman of my life: Shreyas Talpade
Posted by Reema | 23 Apr 2008
Q. Your type of woman? I have already found the woman of my life and have married her. The eyes and the voice of a woman are something which I look at. Because of my type of profession, there should be a level of maturity and understanding between both of us. Thankfully, I have got all the qualities in my wife.
Q. Your ideal romantic getaway would be? A. A Spanish Island. It would be a complete holiday full of romance.
Q. Do you go for internal or external beauty? A. Internal. External beauty can't be permanent whereas internal beauty remains with you throughout your life.
Q. Would you cook for your woman? A. I would certainly try. I think if you are really hungry then you would eat that, too!
